My experience in interviewing a Yau Ma Tei person for my project

Today around 5:00pm, I went to Nathan Road with my group mates, we divided into two groups to interview about ten foreigners. We wanted to find out how they felt about the problems of air pollution in Yau Ma Tei. I and Yentl firstly went to Eaton Hotel. I went to ask them questions, Yentl was responsible to drop down the answer.

At first, our interview seemed smoothly and successfully. But when we interviewing the third foreigner, we came across some difficulties, when we sincerely asked him questions, but we got back a cheerless reply."Can you give some comments about the air pollution problems in Yau Ma Tei?" I asked. "I have no idea!", he seemed in a hurry.

At last, We have got a result, We have interviewing ten foreigners, comparing the air pollution problem with their motherland, seven of them thought that Hong Kong air pollution condition was more serious than their motherland. Then, two of them thought that Hong Kong didn't have any air pollution problem, it was quite good, even better than their motherland. One of them thought that comparing with his motherland and Hong Kong, They are similar.

In this interviewing project, I have learnt we should make sure our interviewing target was suitable for interviewing. Maybe next time we should found a young lady instead of a 50 year old men. It would ensure we have a resonable answer and for my safety reason. But maybe I also need to improve my attitude on asking people question. I should be more polite and more active. I hope I can do it better next time.
